Since this is my first post, I figured I would start with an appropriate post that was related to my blog title, even though I foresee my blog becoming rants about how I drank too much at my cousin's party and made embarrassing remarks about how my cousin-in-law should date my best friend. But I digress, let's start with some knowledge I can share with you about beaches I've been to that I love.
Top 5 Favorite Beaches by Me
1.

Kaanapali Beach: Maui, Hawaii~In my opinion, I'm probably never going to be able to top my Hawaii vacation I took in the summer of 2007 with CH. The water is amazing, so clean and clear, so warm, so fabulous. This picture was taken right outside our hotel that we stayed on the North End of Kaanapali Beach, Kaanapali Shores. We did some of our best snorkeling right off here, and up at Kapalua Beach: we saw amazing fish, and a sea turtle! I think about going back everyday, but I should get a job first.
2. P

aradise Cove: Malibu, CA~Tucked away off the Pacific Coast Highway is Paradise Cove. There's a restaurant there with the same name, yummy seafood, awesome view, and sandbar right outside! If you want to avoid the $20 parking fee and just pay the $3.50 with restaurant validation, definitely hit up the bar for some tasty bevs. But you can hang out at the beach, it's like a little private beach, but there are a few other people there. Malibu's water is a tad cleaner than Venice or Santa Monica, but still chilly, brrrr!
3. Zuma

Beach: Malibu, Ca~ A further up from Paradise Cove is one of another favorite and fun beach, Zuma! My cousin took me here when I first moved out to CA and thought the coolest part, beyond the fact that I was chillin on a beach in Malibu, was the Bob Marley blaring from the Beach Cafe, awesome! Again, slightly cleaner (or at least it feels and looks cleaner, I don't have actual water reports) than Venice or Santa Monica.
4. Santa Monica Beach: Santa Monica

, CA~ My hometown beach is only #4, yikes! No, it's awesome, I love it and go to it most frequently! Being that it takes less than 10 minutes to bike, park, and make the trek across the sand, I come down here often! I enjoy making yummy rum punches and snacks to accompany my trip and then ride on down to one of my favorite beach bars in Venice : On the Waterfront, The Whaler, or Hinano's makes any buzzy beach day that much better!
5. Laguna Beach: Laguna, CA (T

he "Real OC")~Where else might you run into Kristen Cavalerri or Lauren Conrad? Malibu, I guess, but Laguna Beach is a beautiful OC beach worth the drive from LA. I've only made it a few times, mostly when guests are in from out of town. This for sure is cleaner than any LA beach, I know because I just read an article on clean beaches!
Well, I hope you enjoyed my first post and maybe discovered some new spots to try (or go to again if you already know about them)! Mahalo!
